WebPeerFinder is a plugin for the Bittorrent client Azureus. V1.0 - Initial Realease (6/14/04) Description: As IPs of peers are added from you downloads and seeds, this plugin will search those peers for up to two specified ports.. Default port to search is 6969 which is where many people keep trackers. If a web positive peer is found it is place into the middle column called "web positive IP list" and its DNS Hostname is resolved. From there, you can double click on any peer and a small browser window will open with the page of the peer at the port indicated. If this peer has a good tracker page, you can opt to place their IP into your bookmark file which is constantly displayed on the right column. This list is permanently kept in a file in the plugin folder called 'bookmarks.txt' and is reloaded each time the plugin is activated. There are three configuration items to be set in the Plugin Tab under Configurations: 1. AutoOpen: This option will auto start WebPeerFinder when Azurues starts.. This is a very useful feature as sometimes, the greatest number of IPs added are during Azureus's startup when it initially searches out the torrents you have qued. 2. Port1: The primary port to search a particular IP for. (default is 6969) 3. Port2: The optional secondary port to probe on the SAME IP.. - default is 0 which is disabled *Note: The Plugin Tab for WebPeerFinder must be closed and re-opened for port changes to take affect. Also since the probing occurs in a different 'thread' than Azureus, it is quite possible for some that have not finished being probed to keep 'trickeling' in even after a port change. Installation: Simply unzip all files into a separate folder (like webpeerfinder) under the plugins directory. Note: For this plugin to work you MUST be running Azureus 2.1.0.1_B14 or greater Any problems or questions, email me at omschaub at users.sourceforge.net
